    Huajiang Senior High School enjoys the most greenery among all schools in Taipei City.  Carambola trees, waxed apple trees, litchi trees, tangerine trees, pomelo trees, and guava trees are planted everywhere.  Banyan trees, cypress, coconut trees, kapok trees also fill the campus.  Flowers of all sorts, such as cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, lotuses, cherry-apple blossoms, and azaleas vividly colours the campus, their aromas permeating every corner.  The school is full of vitality.

    The newly-built Student Activity Centre boasts facilities of international standard.  There is a multi-function auditorium that has 1000 seats, a 200-seat international convention centre, an aerobics classroom, and a wooden-floor basketball court with an electronic timekeeper.  There are also an indoor warm-water and an outdoor ordinary swimming pool, making Dong Nan the only high school that has two swimming pools in northern Taiwan.  The renovated library is fully digitalised, connecting the students and the faculty with rest of the world, providing them abundant learning resources.

    Our professional teachers are dedicated to education.  They teach and inspire with patience and actively participate in various advancement programmes for further learning, aiming to bring better education quality.  The research committee of each subject invites experts to speak regularly.  It often holds creative activities that combine education, life experiences, and fun.  Examples include the Literature Camp and Literature Week of the Mandarin research committee, the talent show and English song singing contest of the English research committee, and the mathematics contest by the mathematics research committee.  Our history teachers are members of the Taipei City High School Humanities Counselling Team.  Our science teachers adopt an integrated and digitalised pedagogy.

    In order to help students develop comprehensive abilities, the school requires all classes to cultivate their own characteristics, and all students to participate in extracurricular activities.  Our students clubs are outstanding.  For example, the concert band has received national honours, and has been invited to perform in Japan several times.  The debate club earned second place in the national debate contest.  Other clubs also show extraordinary achievements.

    As we enter the 21st century, Dong Nan High School hopes to cultivate a harmonious, democratic, and autonomous learning environment that stresses the importance of human nature.  We hope to integrate community resources and develop an active, vigorous, and well-mannered ambience.  It is our goal to make the campus a loving and an energetic one, so that students who graduate from Dong Nan are intelligent, well-learned in humanities and sciences, and have a broad vision of the world.
